Shadowboxes
I have a lot of miniatures that I have purchased for various future miniature projects
that are still in the planning stages. Instead of packing them away in boxes,
I display them in many varieties of shadowboxes. I group them in little "room scenes"
with similar items displayed together.
This is my collection of wine items for a wine cellar I will be making. The roombox will be made inside of an old wine barrel, if and when I ever find the right one!!
These are various fruit and vegetable type items that I will be putting into a roadside vegetable stand.
This is a small part of barnyard items that I have which will eventually go into a barn scene called Stoneybrook Farm. These are all chicken related items.
The roombox for the artist studio is just temporary. I can't decide what kind of room to house all the artist studio items. The shelf, easel with canvas, worktable and open paintbox are by Ruth Mazur. The cat on the black chair was made by Leslie Frick and is a portrait of my cat Niki.
These are various gas station items for a "last chance gas station" set in the dessert. It will be set in the 1930's. I love grunge and weathered items, and nobody does them better for accessories than Wright Guide Miniatures.
These items are for a home garage. It will have all the tools and "guy stuff" that I can find. There will even be an old Studebaker project car getting worked on.
Here is the rest of the vegetable stand stuff I have collected.
Noah's Ark is so popular right now, that I couldn't resist collecting some pieces. Most of the furniture is designed by Robin Betterley.
I love antique biscuit tins and this one even came with the metal box! They are so easy to turn into a small roombox and they come complete with a hinged glass door.
If I could afford to live by the ocean, I would.
Here is the center of the shelf.
This is a closeup of the right side.
